Ever since I launched this site it never felt completely finished. Perhaps that’s common when one is in the business of making things, but this time I feel much more done. I’ve updated my portfolio not only with new work, but I’m leveraging Expression Engine’s ability to paginate through content to make it easy to navigate from image to image in my portfolio. I gave the css and html a slight overhaul so it’s slimmer and more efficient and I’ve freshened my logo ever so slightly adding a bevel to the 3 A’s that adorn the top of the Andy Andy Andy shield. So, slight updates but meaningful ones that hopefully will make the site easier for you to navigate!
I’m a long time admirer of Frank Stockton’s work. Recently, he was fortunate enough to land an illustration for the New Yorker’s Dark Knight review. Great work Frank!
Read his blog post and see his process for this illustration here: http://www.frankstockton.com/2008/07/dark-knight.html
Why does it surprise me? I guess it probably shouldn’t, its totally badass. Click the pic for the big image...so cool.
I actually own several mopeds that I would like to paint. See show off pictures of one of my “hog babies” a 1979 Batavus Mobat…
Other inspiration for this idea of slopily custom painting vehicles is seen in the montage below about Andy Warhol’s 1979 BMW art car…
